capturing action and motion

Tip for shooting motion blur, for motion blur make sure your shutter speed is REALLY low, the lower the better since your aim is for your picture to have blur the more the better.

Tip for shooting action sharp, for action sharp the goal is to capture a moving subject without having any blur, so first make sure your shutter speed is SUPER FAST the faster the better because you’ll have to move fast to capture your moving target or your picture will be taken too late and you won’t get what you want.

Depth of Field Photos

Guessing the aperture, I’d say it’s at f/4 For the shutter speed, 1/250th sec because it’s a cat moving and for Lens, I want to say about 80 mm.
Aperture, f/22 Shutter Speed, 1/125, Lens 18mm

Depth of Field Explained

Field of depth.

Field of depth is basically a photo where there’s a point of focus that appears sharp as well as either the front or back of the point of focus. Different factors will vary the zone of focus in your photos, the different factors being Your aperture setting of the lens and the distance between your subject and your camera. Messing around with your camera settings and composition, you can determine which amount of your picture turns sharp and which is blurred. Most images with a good amount of sharpness that’s acceptable is an example of having a deep depth of field.

Although a photo has shallow depth of field doesn’t mean it isn’t a good photo, Shallow depth of field photos is better for portraits like for yearbook photos or for focusing on one subject instead of a whole photo. Shallow depth of field photos has a blurred background and only focus on one subject. Depth of field is an important artistic key to each photo. Whether you have a Shallow depth of field or a Deep depth of field, it can make a difference to your photo It just depends on what you took a photo of like either a landscape and or a portrait.

Framing

Critique your own photographs.

    1. Do I have good composition? I’d say so, I have leading lines and a subject to focus on.
    2. How well did I edit my photos? In my opinion I’d say I did well like in between good and excellent.
    3. What would I do differently if I shot this assignment again? I would change the subject I’m framing since before I didn’t know how hard it was to frame a teddy bear and make it look good.
    4. Do you think your photographs belong on the blog home page and   should be considered one of the best from all the photo classes? Although I had made it on the class blog sometimes, I’d say these photos probably shouldn’t one of the best since they weren’t as good as I wanted them to be.

All about me collage

My all about me collage visually represents me and here’s how. The Barnes and Noble logo represent how I enjoy reading sometimes and collecting books for my collection, The same goes for the converse shoes, the Build-A-Bear logo, and the Hot Topic logo, the shoes; represent how I love and brand and have multiple shoes of it in different colors, the Build-A-Bear logo represents how much I love stuffed animals to the point where my stuffed animals don’t fit on my bed, and the Hot Topic logo represents my favorite store I like to shop at, Wither it be for clothes, Accessories, or for figurines. Regarding the sleepy cat and the figurine, the cat represents how tired I get no matter what time it is; I’ll sleep whenever even if I’m not tired. Back to the figurine, the Hatsune Miku figure represents my love for figure collecting (like funko pops), even if I run out of room on my shelf, and my love for Halloween. Going to the baseball glove, bat, and ball they show how I love baseball and how I had wanted to be on a team when I was little. For example, The Spotify logo represents my favorite app to stream music as I listen to it a lot, the blue star represents how much I used to enjoy outer space and astronomy as a little kid, while the KitKat represents my favorite candy bar and how much I love chocolate; hence as to why I love Halloween. Last but not least, the Total Drama logo and Cody represents one of my many favorite shows to watch in my free time, and Cody represents the type of characters I favor when watching tv shows or animes.

ALTERNATIVE CAMERA ANGLES

I believe this is a successful photograph because of the interesting angle and the leading lines. The camera angle was taken from the ground to capture the high up trees. I chose this photo because of how interesting it looks, the way how the trees are towering above like it’s a painting is really attention-grabbing. Another reason I chose this photo is because of how the tree and sky look together. The trees almost look like shadows and the light blue sky helps with those effects.
